Emily Meoli

IMG_5385 (1).jpg

Emily lives with her husband, Marc, and is the proud mom of three skiers—well, three adult children who still love to ski! Victoria lives in Edinburgh, Scotland; Joshua lives in Baltimore, Maryland; and Alexander lives in Seattle, Washington.

The Meoli family loves spending time on the slopes together. After many years of dreaming about becoming an instructor, Emily finally decided to make it happen. In the fall of 2008, she attended the Instructor Training Course at Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, and has enjoyed sharing her love of skiing with students of all ages ever since. Eventually, Emily’s children joined her as Instructors making countless memories instructing and teaching together.

Emily has earned her PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) Alpine Level I and Children’s Specialist Level I certifications. She enjoys teaching skiers of all ages, but children’s lessons are her favorite. Emily is also a Health Coach and preschool teacher while she is not on the slopes.

Over the years, Emily noticed that many children arrive at their first ski lesson unsure of what to expect. She wrote this story to help young skiers feel prepared, confident, and excited for their lesson while also providing parents with tips to help set their children up for success on the slopes.
